Last week we got an awesome visit from Mrs. G, our librarian, who demonstrated how a book talk should be presented. Our students love to go to the library, so it was a real treat to have the librarian in our classroom this time! We also got to experiment with magnets. Our students absolutely love when we get to do hands on science experiments and this one was no different. Here are a few pictures of groups predicting and testing out their predictions! It may be Halloween time, but our class felt like it was Christmas time yesterday! Last year I had the amazing opportunity to learn from one of the most fabulous teachers I have ever met, Mrs. Wolff. As if Mrs. Wolff wasn't thoughtful and amazing enough, her and her first grade class sent us a package this week full of Halloween goodies! I wish their class could have seen my students faces when they got a package and how excited they were to get an awesome goodie bag! So to Mrs. Wolff and her sweet first grade class (who are the luckiest kids ever to have her as a teacher this year) thank you from the bottom of our hearts! You definitely made our week!
I hope you all are enjoying your holiday weekend! Don't forget there's no school on Monday! Ms. Bonnet is currently grading papers by the beach : ) here's a picture I shot this morning at sunrise to share with you. Yesterday we had a celebrity reader come join us! Our class absolutely loved having Ms. Murray AND her sidekick Sami join us and read "Double Trouble in Walla Walla". Ms. Murray has the most amazing spirit, personality, and attitude which is always exciting to have in our classroom! We can't wait till they come and visit again. Friday we got the have the mobile dairy classroom come! The kids loved it! Here are a few of the pictures. |
