What is your favorite thing about our class AND your favorite thing we have done or learned all year?
In preparation of our class field trip next week, we are learning about caves and the different things we may see. Yesterday we started a science experiment called, "Make Your Own Stalactites" in which we are watching how stalactites and stalagmites form using hot water and baking soda. As the water evaporates, we will slowly see a column of crystals form.
I traveled to Rockport this weekend to learn more about Kagan training. Only a few hours in of our day full of learning and I'm loving everything! Can't wait to use so many things in my own classroom! It's obviously a plus the training is near the beach. So thankful I heard about Kagan from another super sweet teacher so I could get in on all this amazingness!
Testing is officially over and I can honestly say my class and I couldn't be more relieved and excited. Even though we still have several weeks of school and learning left, we have a little weight lifted off our shoulders now. I know all our hard work since August will show in our scores. The kids weren't as nervous as I thought they would be because we were beyond prepared with all of our steps, procedures, and skills we have learned that made them feel confident about their work and answers. My class has come so far since we started school and I couldn't be more proud!
Next up will be our field trip which will be such a great learning experience! Details will be coming home with your kids this week so please be looking out for it to sign and return.
